Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) is an internationally recognized grassroots organization that unlocks the potential of urban slum dwellers to lead hopeful and fulfilling lives. SHOFCO disrupts survival mode by providing critical services including health care, clean water, education, and economic empowerment; and linking these efforts to a community-led advocacy platform. SHOFCO currently impacts over 2.4 million people across 17 urban slums in Kenya and is the largest employer in Kibera. Job Overview
To be responsible in integrating and mainstreaming gender across the crisis response interventions in the slums and provide expert advice on this to the respective field offices.
Location – Nairobi
Department – Logistics
Reports to –Supply Chain Manager
Work Pattern/Hours – Monday – Friday | 8.00 AM – 5.00PM
Key Responsibilities / Duties/ Tasks

- Safe transportation of the company executive and staff to and from various destinations.
- Transport supplies securely to areas where they are needed.
- Maintain driver logs.
- Report any instance of mishap or accident to the dispatcher or supervisor.
- Undertake routine maintenance checks, repair and cleaning of the vehicle.
- Maintain an up to date vehicle license and renew in good time.
- Keep vehicle clean at all times.
- Maintain passenger confidence by keeping information strictly confidential.
- Arrange for the scheduled maintenance of vehicle.

- 3 years’ experience in driving as a personal or executive driver
- Sufficient knowledge of traffic laws
